Event Details: In this online event we'll be baking and decorating a classic Victoria sponge cake.

Light and fluffy vanilla sponge sandwiched together with buttercream, strawberry jam and piles of fresh berries.

I'll show you how to create the perfect vanilla sponge which you can keep as a two-layer cake or split into a 4-layer cake or bake into cupcakes. We'll create a thick, velvety smooth American buttercream to fill and cover the cakes and I'll cover all of the common troubleshooting issues such as sinking sponges, stiff, runny or lumpy buttercream. You'll also learn how to quickly and easily line cake tins and how to store or freeze your sponges or buttercream so that you can make this ahead of time.

Packed with tips and tricks that will extend far beyond this event, cookalong with me in real time from your own kitchen with an interactive chat box where you can ask any questions throughout the event. This is beginner friendly whether you're new or experienced in the kitchen, we'll move at a very chilled pace. You don't need to turn your video on and everyone who joins will be muted, so it's a safe space to get creative, have some fun and learn something new.
