Green Protein Smoothie



For the breakfast on the go, a protein shake alone isn't enough for me and I'm yet to find a shop-bought smoothie that tastes great or a cafe smoothie that isn't daylight robbery. 3 of your 5 a day, 30g protein and under 5 minutes to make

Ingredients


1/4 avocado

1 banana

Handful of spinach

1 cup (250ml) of any milk - I use 50:50 oat and coconut

1 scoop of whey (vanilla)



Method


  1. Put everything in a blender and blend

  2. Use a handful of ice if ingredients aren't frozen for a thicker consistency

Good to know:


  • I store chopped bananas and peeled and stoned avocado 1/4s in the freezer for convenience and because frozen ingredients make a thicker consistency smoothie (which I prefer)

  • Store them in pre-portioned 'smoothie bags' or boxes so you just have to add the liquid and any fresh ingredients, whizz up and go!
