How to remove glue and sticky labels from glass, metal or stainless steel

There's nothing more frustrating than trying to pick and peel labels from jars, new mixing bowls or cooking utentils. Especially if you'll be using them to gift to somebody! This is a really good hack to use so that labels come off easily with no sticky glue residue.

Total time : 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 sink full of hot water

A good squirt of washing up liquid (the good shit, I like Fairy Original (green))

4 - 6 tbsp white vinegar

Method

  1. Fill your sink with hot water and add in the washing up liquid and white vinegar. Put the jars/bowls/utensils in the sink to soak for 5 - 10 minutes

  2. Remove from the sink and the labels should easily slip or scrape off, use a stainless steel scourer for anything stubborn
